NEW BLOG
2007 is coming to an end and a new year begins. I hope this note finds you all with blessings to count and a slain demon or two. I’ve started a Blog: Per Se, “The Realism of Speculative Fiction”. It attempts to characterize the genre of Speculative Fiction, which is constantly in flux, as well as point to a few examples. I hope you’ll pop by from time to time. http://therealismofspeculativefiction.blogspot.com/ or sign up to receive an email whenever I post. Also, I have three dates in 2008: readings at Seattle’s Rainbow Bookfest, April 5th at the Langston Hughes Performing Arts Center and an invitation to read at Evergreen College’s Conference on “Activism and the Avant Garde”, Saturday May 24th—Sunday May 25th. As these dates approach, I’ll send out reminders. I hope to see you at one or both of theses dates. You’re support would be much appreciated!

Reading "Do Bikers Believe in Fairy Tales?" Tuesday, July 11th 2006 Odd Duck Studio
1214 Tenth Avenue
(near Madison) _______________________________________________________________
Readings From The Vernal Equinox of Death and Kisses @ Hugo House What happens when a biker chases down a mythical goddess, or a rogue fisherman’s face catches fire? How will the South Wind keep his evil brother the North from taking the life of a little girl? What does an octopus have in common with a lighted window in a Victorian home, and how does spring visit the denizens of West Seattle with both life and death?
On Tuesday May 2nd,
co-sponsored by Richard Hugo House Performing Writers program,
widely published author
Antonio Hopson
answers these questions and more in readings from
his anthology of short stories entitled “The Vernal Equinox of
Death and Kisses”. Dru Pagiassotti, Editor in Chief of the
acclaimed
Harrow Magazine, says: "Antonio
Hopson spins gentle legends and quiet love stories. From biker
goddesses to mythical tricksters, from feuding winds to debauched
taverns, the subjects of "The Vernal Equinox of Death and Kisses and
Other Short Stories" reveal the author's romantic enchantment with
the world around him, even when it's at its grittiest."
7-9pm. Cost is $7 at the door. All proceeds donated to
Rainer Scholars. Libations, coffee and tea served. More
information can be found at
HugoHouse.Org.
